Weird. That is the word I, and others, have used to describe the Alaskan ’24-’25 winter. Whereas two years ago, a record snowfall covered Anchorage, and last winter came close to another, we have received no snow to speak of since the snowfall of October ’24. Due to the “weird” winter, one sees much less (if any):

![]() Seeing (and not seeing) such things causes me to recall a tongue twister I learned, and mastered, years ago. “Whether the weather be cold, or whether the weather be hot, we’ll weather the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not.” Whether or not your tongue can weather that twister, you (and I) can gain wisdom from the rhyme. Only God knows what tomorrow holds. Our job is not to worry. Our job is to trust and adjust – “whatever the weather, whether we like it or not.” #ordinarylives
