A paragraph from my very first post (2015) reads …
Ten years later, I’m still using a pencil. It’s possible that it’s the exact same Pentel that I held in my hands back in 2015. But, if not, it’s an identical twin. Posting for a decade has been mostly joy. As a person who enjoys words and expression, blogging makes sense. I used the word “mostly” for perhaps an obvious reason. Like any endeavor in life, blogging is not always joy. Sometimes, blogging is the awareness that Tuesday is coming and I’ve “got nothing.” Other times, blogging is questioning if the work is worth it. More recently, blogging has been a time to consider a change. After all – everyday, ordinary lives do not stay the same. With those thoughts in mind, I believe that today is a good day for a change. Today, I press pause on weekly posting. My Pentels will continue to mark pages and serve as tools for communication. And, at a yet unknown frequency, will write other posts. But, for now, they will take a Sabbath on Tuesdays. Thank you for reading each week. Until next time, continue to live the Ordinary.
