Today marks the thirteenth anniversary of my service at Rabbit Creek Church. Thanks be to God, I have been able to invest my life in serving, leading, preaching, teaching, and pastoring for the dozen-plus tenure that, God-willing, I pray will continue for many more years to come.
Jesus loves His bride, the Church. I love the Church and Rabbit Creek Church.
In one of my earliest sermons at Rabbit Creek, I shared words that expressed one of my passions as a pastor. I said . . . "My heartbeat is to tell you that discipleship, living for Jesus the Christ, requires that you follow Him. Following Him is not easy nor will we always understand His ways. I pledge that I will walk with you and support you as you set off or continue in the most exciting and demanding journey of your life."
On this anniversary, I restate my pledge and extend it to you who are reading this blog . . .
I pledge that I will walk with you and support you as you set off or continue in the most exciting and demanding journey of your life.
So, help me, God.
