A Break to Pray

According to my calendar, the Summer season begins tomorrow. Perhaps at one time I knew who decided that, but that information I no longer retain. Nevertheless, I trust my At-A-Glance.

While most students are well into Summer Break and countless summer-themed events have already occurred, I want to invite you to take a Summer Break right after you finish reading today’s blog entry. Take a break – as brief or as long as time allows – and take a few intentional breaths, set aside your screen / tablet / phone, and quiet your spirit. Then pray. Pray to the God of heaven and earth who created you in His image and loves you beyond what you can comprehend.

I’ll keep this short, so you can get to your breathing and praying. Start your Summer Break by praying the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray.
