What does it mean to truly live? Seek adventure? Avoid death? Stay the course? Forge new paths? Truth can be found in each of those choices. Yet, each of those choices is incomplete. Paul, the apostle, provided a complete answer to the question. He urged his readers to recognize the ultimate answer to the question. He declared, "To live is Christ." I devoted a month of sermons to teaching through the letter in which those bold words of Paul are found. I would like to share those sermons with you. Before the next four blogs find their way to you, I invite you to consider the value of listening to and reading Paul. If you and I are serious about living our everyday, Ordinary lives for God and His purposes, we do well to observe the value of the New Testament letters. Remember, those letters are not old words meant only for people long ago. They are words of practical theology. That is to say, those old words in old letters continue to teach Christians how to live their faith each and every day. Take time this week to read Philippians and then log on next week to join me for a journey through that letter. #ordinarylives
