Slurpy time = 7 to 11. Seventy-six trombones = 7 to 6. Fortuitous = 4 to 2. When our early morning racquetball group plays, we habitually call out the score using various silly phrases such as those listed above. Among them is also the one for 6 to 8 = “Six to Eight – I appreciate you.” While that is spoken tongue-in-cheek, especially when the competition level is high, those three words need to be heard on and off the court. “I appreciate you” goes a long way. In two days, the other pastors and I are hosting a lunch for all those women and men who serve in support staff positions at Rabbit Creek Church. They deserve it! I want them to know how much their efforts and they as people help us as we shepherd the people of Rabbit Creek Church.
Let me encourage you to devote time this week to “I appreciate you” actions. Here are some ideas.
Let the loved ones and unknown ones in your life know that you appreciate their work and efforts. “I appreciate you” goes a long way. 2…4…6…8… #ordinarylives
