Great Impact

Yesterday Americans observed a day dedicated to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  King dedicated his adult life, which was tragically cut short, to the pursuit of civil rights for people across races.  He did not welcome or wish for death yet neither did he fear or fun from it.  He was a man who found his purpose.  With strong conviction, he committed himself fully to his quest.

Throughout the ages, men and women who embrace their purpose have impacted the world and, in their own ways, made it w better place.  We do well to take time to remember their contributions and to take time to thank those who are still living.

Who, in your life, has impacted you with their passion?
For me, these come to mind . . .
  • My grandfather - He devoted his life to Jesus and family.  He also taught me to waterski.
  • My pastor - He loved, taught, and lived Jesus.  He still does.
  • My parents - They love Jesus, each other, my sisters, and me.
  • My wife - She loves Jesus, is a great mom, an amazing wife, and lives the Scriptures.
  • My 9th grade English teacher - She held high standards and issued no easy grades.  She saw more in her students than we saw in ourselves.

Those are but a few of the men and women who have and continue to impact me with their passion.  Thank you!
