 https://www.anchorage.net Today we welcome March. For Alaskans, the arrival of March is joined by the noticeable increase of daylight hours and steadily rising temperatures. Breakup season is here. As the snow melts and trees begin to display small yet visible signs of life, a sense of seasonal joy rises in each of us. White gives way to green. Cold submits to warm (by Alaska standards, at least). This time of year offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on those things in your life that have gone dormant for a season and then bring some of those once-upon-a-time habits back to life. Have you neglected prayer? Start again. Have the pages of your Bible been in the dark? Open them to the light. Has it been way too long since you last made connections with friends? Call them today. Did the cold and darkness keep you inside? Go outside. Did the weight of winter increase your weight? Resume exercise. Bottom line? Use this season to recharge and renew your commitment to living the first of the great commandments.
