"Jesus _____ me, this I know."

That blank is there for you to fill in.

You know what word goes there in the song.  How do you feel, though?  Do you feel loved?  Do you feel lovable?   Do you find yourself wanting to insert another word?

  • ignores
  • blames
  • forgets

As a follower of Jesus and a student of the written Word, I trust that "Jesus loves me, this I know" is true because the Bible tells me so.  Jesus loves me.  Jesus also
  • cares for me
  • listens to me
  • died for me

Jesus does the same things for you.

As we continue in our celebration of Advent, a great thing to do is to open your Bible (or tap on your Bible app) and begin reading one of the four gospels.  They are books of good news after all.  No matter which gospel writer you choose to read, you will find the same truth.  Jesus loves you.  Jesus does not blame you, judge you, ignore you, or forget you.  Jesus loves you.  If you need that reminder, start reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John today.  You'll like what the Bible tells you.
